Job Description Summary:

The Analytic Insights team is responsible for monitoring different facets of performance for hospitals and provider groups and communicating findings in order to identify areas of opportunity for Healthfirst and Hospital and Physician Groups senior management. The Analytic Insight Interns will work within the Finance team and will also be offered the opportunity to collaborate with other departments in order to develop a final project.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Compile data from large and complex data sets, including both financial and healthcare data
  • Use statistical software to summarize hospital and physician group cost and utilization metrics, as well as overall financial performance
  • Perform data analysis and financial modeling
  • Prepare ad hoc reports for both internal and external use
  • Summarize and communicate results to management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.
  • Will not require sponsorship for employment
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school
